Was a lovely location, the pool was a lovely way to freshen up on the hot days and easy access to great small business

The pool and location

Not enough utensils in the kitchen for a small family. no door stop on shower (hits toilet). Cleanliness of the apartment (found dirty undies behind bed). There were wasps on the roof of the balcony and the glass railings were not cleaned.

Great location suits families

Great location and apartment is suited for families. Pool was a bonus

Lacking few basic amenities, no extra soap as the small soap tablet only lasted 2 days, no extra toilet rolls, and we have to ask the reception for them. The ones provided were of the cheapest quality, on par with public toilets. I am sure they can afford better than that.

The location, the pool and overall the room was not bad

The second bedroom in our apartment was so hot. Only had a fan. Needs free to air tv also I thought there was supposed to be Foxtel available but it wasn't free to sign in.

Had multiple rooms for a family gathering. Good for moving between rooms, being close to everything

Close to centre of Burleigh Heads and a short walk to the beach. Lovely big pools with spa and bbq area. Rooms were clean and tidy, and modern.

Main bathroom is also the ensuite in 2 brm units.

Loved our stay! Beautiful property and facilities. Appartment had everything we needed.

Only disappointing thing was unfriendly staff, we arrived half an hr pre check in and were told we had to wait outside until 2pm with young children- when another staff member who was lovely come out and said our room was ready and she would help us. Also staff at desk not welcoming or warm or very helpful. Only downfall.

We enjoyed Swell and would rebook.

Great location, close to so many restaurants, cafes and SLSC. Everything in the apartment worked well, no blown bulbs or dodgy remote batteries - was great in that respect. Also liked that the building was very secure, as was vehicle accommodation. Car park space was generous compared to newer places we have stayed, it was a breeze to get our 7 seater in and out.

A little bit dated but everything was functional and well maintained.

Great location for 8 days' stay.

location was ideal for our family, the beach is an easy walk, there are plenty of nearby restaurants and grocery stores, even a library across the road and a 'Sip n Paint' shop around the corner. Having access to kitchen and laundry facilities within our own room was excellent and well used by our family. The tv had foxtel, with a screen in the lounge area and one also in the bedroom. The pool area was also fantastic. Check-in staff were friendly and approachable. The aircon was excellent, and the beds and sofa were very comfortable. our room also had a walk-in robe with plenty of hangers. Parking was secure, you needed a fob key to access the parking area and because it was assigned parking, you always had a spot to park your car.

I would have preferred dishwasher tablets compared to the powder pouches, it would have made a difference to the cleanliness of the dishes, 2-3 tablets in a reusable container could be more environmentally friendly than the disposable plastic pouches that are currently being used. The bottom tray of the dishwasher in my particular room was rusty and the plastic had begun to unravel from the frame- however, handwashing was also an option so it was not a real issue. Perhaps the toilet by the pool area could be updated - it was not as well appointed as the rest of the facilities, our young kids found it dark and a little smelly.

We had a great stay, great service and great location.

I like the location and the layout of the unit was comfortable.

I would have liked another couch, the two of us were able to sit and watch tv. However if there were 4 people it would have been uncomfortable.

Great accommodation for families and friend groups

Fantastic accommodation! We arrived afterhours and the pre-arrival email explained how to check in well enough without physical staff assistance. When we went up, we were pleasantly surprised how large and beautiful the space was. The apartment had all the basic necessities for a family away from home, like extra blankets, smart TVs and a full kitchen, including microwave, toaster, oven and more! The small thoughtful touches like pool noodles for the kids, picnic basket, some beach chairs etc. really made the stay that little bit easier and special. Pool, spa and gym access were the icing on the cake! All were easily accessible and well maintained. We had a great stay and look forward to staying again.

We stayed a week and would've been great if we had a mid stay check-in to see if we needed fresh towels, toilet paper etc. instead of having to ask. Also, beds were not to my liking at all and i had a sore back each day, but that could be personal preference.

Perfect for young families if the price is right.

Such a great location for young families! Walking distance to the beach, Woolies, frozen yogurt with a pub connected to the resort via the parking lot. 30 minute drive to Wet n Wild, Movie world, Sea World and Pacific Fair. Under a 10 minute drive to Stocklands.

There’s no housekeeping at all. You have to take your own rubbish to the bins located near the lifts or in the car park. Paying just under $3k for 1 week and not having housekeeping at least once over those seven days is was a bit annoying that’s the only reason it wasn’t 10/10. If you can overlook this, great property and bins areas aren’t overflowing, they’re kept very tidy.

Summer family holiday

Swell resort is in such a great location. Short walk to main shopping strip's, beach and bus stops. I really choose Swell for the pool, it's large enough that you never feel cramped by other guests and also it's nice and deep. We checked in after hours and the process was very easy. My son enjoyed the gym facilities and liked that it was open until 9pm. We appreciated the European laundry and also the well equipped kitchen. The bedrooms had ceiling fans and the unit was also air conditioned. Block out curtains was also a bonus. Resort is nice and secure at night also .

A few things we didn't like mainly because we paid peak January holiday prices. Hairdryer was tiny and also broken No clothes hangers in wardrobes Complimentary tea and coffee but no milk? The room we had was a little bit dated compared to other rooms that we have stayed in at the resort . A second tv in one of the bedrooms would have been good as the living area was quite small.
